Christine Clark's current work considers the notion of creating volume with a singular, linear element using fine steel wire. Her installation work it is made up of a multitude of elements that can be examined individually but intentionally surrounds the viewer in its entirety. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally. She is a member of the Nine Gallery, an alternative installation space in Portland. She is a professor and head of the metals department at Oregon College of Art and Craft. She holds a BFA from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Both of her degrees are in metalsmithing and jewelry.

Clark is a recent recipient of an Individual Artists Fellowship Grant and a Career Opportunity Development Grant, both from the Oregon Arts Commission. She is currently working on two large sculptural light fixtures for a public art project at OCAC.
